Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month

October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Awareness Month! SCA continues to be a major public health crisis, which means each of us needs to continue to spread awareness and encourage others to learn how to respond in an emergency.

Citizens Fire Academy

The West Fargo Fire Department is now accepting applications for the first Citizens Fire Academy. This session will run 6-8 p.m. on Mondays from Oct. 4 to Nov. 8. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 24, and can be found online at https://lf.westfargond.gov/Forms/fireacademy. This free, six-week program is designed to give citizens the opportunity to experience the daily work of the West Fargo Fire Department. Participants have the opportunity to participate in activities like classroom training, ride-a-longs and real-life scenario drills. Participants will gain a better understanding of the West Fargo Department’s operations, capabilities and responsibilities.

Join North Dakota Department of Commerce in-person or virtually to link with fellow state, regional, local leaders and volunteers to gain firsthand knowledge from renowned speakers and community innovators on the topic of smart, efficient infrastructure.
