Public Safety Sales Tax Town Hall Invitation

Public Safety Sales Tax Town Hall Meeting Tomorrow

The West Fargo Police and Fire Departments are hosting a town hall meeting at
6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at Prairie Heights Church (319 32nd Ave. E).
The purpose of the town hall meeting is to provide education on the Public Safety Sales Tax measures on the ballot in the Nov. 8 general election.

During the meeting, attendees will learn about the ongoing needs of the departments and the logistics of voting on both City Measure #1 and City Measure #2. Then, they will have an opportunity to ask additional questions about the need for a Public Safety Sales Tax.

Residents will need to vote yes on both City Measure #1 and City Measure #2 in November to approve the Public Safety Sales Tax.

Public Safety Sales Tax

The public safety sales tax is a one-half percent (0.5%) increase to be used exclusively for police and fire operations, equipment and buildings.
