You're Invited! Come celebrate 50 years with us!

The West Fargo Public Library is turning 50 this week and we want YOU to come celebrate with us.

"The West Fargo Public Library is celebrating 50 years of service. To commemorate 50 years, the library is hosting a public celebration event from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 10. This open house event will feature special guest speakers, a community art activity, a library history exhibit, refreshments, door prizes, free commemorative coffee mugs for attendees, and the opportunity for families to tour the Little Red Reading Bus and learn more about the library’s Summer Boost program. The all-ages activities are open to the public from 3 to 7 p.m. Speakers and refreshments will start at 5:30 p.m. Read on...."

Door prizes: Enter to win!

Enter to win door prizes during the party! Winners will be announced on Facebook live during the event. You need not be present to win, but you can only register for door prizes at the library.

Library history exhibit!

The West Fargo Public Library has 50 years of stories to share. Come explore the West Fargo Public Library's history! Our exhibit will be upstairs in the activity hallway and features images, quotes, stories, data, and interactive portions.

Photo sweepstakes!

Take a photo at any of our three photo stations (Little Red Reading Bus, Children's Corner, History Exhibit) and submit the photo(s) to us by using #WFPL50Years for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a local business.

Community art project!

While you celebrate with us, take a moment to contribute to our community artwork. Write or draw a memory, dream for the library's future, favorite thing about the library, etc. and attach to our collaborative art piece! These will be displayed after the party.

Summer Boost program kickoff!

Visit the Children's Corner to learn more about Summer Boost - our redesigned summer reading program. Earn rewards for tracking reading hours and participating in events by taking part in Summer Boost.

Guest speakers!

A number of guests will speak about the past, present and future of the library beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Refreshments!

What's a party without cake? We will bring out cake, coffee & lemonade around 5:15 p.m.
