The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG), in coordination with the city of Fargo, city of West Fargo, the Fargo and West Fargo public school districts and participating private schools are conducting a Safe Routes to School Plan.

The plan evaluates existing biking and walking conditions adjacent to public and private elementary schools in the city of Fargo. The plan will make recommendations on how and where to improve safety and mobility to area schools.

Metro COG will hold four public input meetings regarding the plan to share information on existing conditions for walking and biking in relation to schools in Fargo. Each session will be an open house and offer students, parents, staff, administration and interested stakeholders an opportunity to provide input.
