The West Fargo Public Library will host photographer Jon Solinger for a meet the artist event to showcase Working Land. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the West Fargo Public Library. During the event attendees are able to learn more about Solinger’s process, ask questions, and try their hand at creating their own family diagrams or maps.

Working Land refers to two facets of rural landscape: the idea of working the land as a vocation and as a description of productive ground. The photography focuses on six family farms in Otter Tail County, Minnesota and the people rooted to these places. The exhibit includes pictures of each farm and a diagram or visual representation of the people living and working on the farm and how they are intertwined.

Working Land will be on view at the West Fargo Public Library through April 16. This exhibit is jointly funded by The Arts Partnership, with support from the Cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo and The Friends of the West Fargo Public Library. For more information about the event and exhibit, contact Sara Engler, Access Services Librarian, at 701-551-8949.
