West Fargo Public Library introduces free online crafting tutorials and inspiration

Are you looking for inspiration for your next sewing project? Need ideas for crafts for the kids? Always wanted to learn how to make jewelry? The West Fargo Public Library has you covered with a new online resource that library cardholders can access for free: Creativebug by JOANN. Library cardholders can now access more than 1,000 online video classes in painting, knitting, crafting, sewing and more via Creativebug by JOANN.

Creativebug is a collection of over 1,000 online video classes in painting, knitting, crafting, sewing and more taught by top artists and creative experts. Users can make an account to track their progress in classes, add classes their watchlist, download patterns, share photos of their projects, and chat with fellow crafters! Mobile apps are available for Apple and Android users.

To get started with Creativebug, sign up with your library card and PIN (last name). For more information or for help getting started, contact library staff at 701-551-8940.

West Fargo Public Library offers new online tool for standardized test prep and career development

Testing & Education Reference Center

The West Fargo Public Library is excited to support residents' goals for education and career with the addition of a new online tool: Testing & Education Reference Center. This tool includes practice exams, college planning resources, resume building tools, U.S. Citizenship help and more to help users accomplish their goals and plan their future. It can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection and is completely free to use for West Fargo Public Library cardholders.

Within Testing & Education Reference Center, users have access to practice tests and more, including:

  • Test prep: Full-length, timed practice exams and courses for the AP, ACT, SAT, GED, GRE, MCAT, LSAT exams and more.
  • College planning: Information on more than 4,000 accredited schools, including school location, tuition, academics, admission requirements, and campus life.
  • Financial aid tools: Undergraduate scholarship search, financial aid award analyzer, college savings calculator, and tuition cost finder.
  • Career development: Resume Builder and Virtual Careers Library to build career skills—how to build a resume, cover letter and interviewing tips for users at all career stages.
  • International tools: Practice tests and eBooks to prepare to pass the TOEFL (iBT), TOEFL (PBT), TOEIC and U.S. Citizenship tests.
