On Tuesday, Sept. 4, the intersection of First Avenue E. and Ninth Street E. will close for three weeks so crews can complete a sewer repair project. During the closure, north-south traffic will be detoured to 17th Street E. via Main Avenue or Seventh Avenue E.

This project involves improvements to storm sewer, water mains, gravity sanitary sewer, sanitary sewer force main installations, concrete streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary sewer lift station, sanitary sewer lift station modifications, asphalt pavement and other miscellaneous installations. This project also includes the reconstruction of the Ninth Street E. and First Avenue E. intersection roadway and utilities.
