The closure of Sheyenne Street from 13th Avenue W. to near Interstate 94 for paving operations has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 17. The closure will start at approximately 8:30 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. while crews pave the new northbound lanes of Sheyenne Street from Beaton Dr. to north of 17th Avenue W. This closure is necessary due to the limited space on this stretch of the road for the paving equipment to operate, trucks to haul material and personnel safety.
During the closure, residents with driveway access on the west side of the road north of 19th Avenue W. will be able to utilize Sheyenne Street to access their homes and residents in the Beaver Creek development will be able to enter and exit Sheyenne Street from the south development entrance and travel south. No other traffic will be allowed through. A similar closure is also anticipated to occur around July 25.
This closure also includes the current closure of the east side of the Sheyenne Street and 17th Avenue W. intersection. This intersection will remain closed for approximately one week after paving to allow the concrete to cure.
Additionally, late Thursday, July 12, 2018, westbound traffic on 13th Avenue W. at the Sheyenne Street intersection will be diverted to head-to-head traffic on the north side of the road to provide room for pavement removal.
