The Annual West Fest celebration is returning to the City of West Fargo Sept. 12-17. This year’s theme is “Community Togetherness” and will be celebrated with events for the whole community held at locations throughout West Fargo. Unless otherwise noted, all events are free and open to the public.  

Schedule of events: 

Tuesday, Sept. 12: 

  • Family Wellness Meditation – 6:30-7:30 p.m. – Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights 

Wednesday, Sept. 13: 

  • BBQ Bootcamp – 5:30-7:30 p.m. – Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights, registration required  
  • Community Picnic – 6-8 p.m. – West Fargo Sports Arena North Parking Lot - $5 suggested donation 

Thursday, Sept. 14: 

  • West Fargo Cruise Night – 4:30-8 p.m. – Downtown Yards on Sheyenne, POW/MIA Plaza 

Friday, Sept. 15:  

  • Elle King and 38 Special – 6 p.m. doors open, 7 p.m. show – Midco Stage at the Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights – ticket required 

Saturday, Sept. 16:  

  • West Fargo Park District Fall Rummage Sale – 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Veterans Memorial Arena 
  • West Fargo Softball Tournament – 9 a.m. – Elmwood Baseball Fields 
  • Craft and Vendor Show – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Former Berg Auto Lot, 502 Sheyenne Street 
  • West Fest Grand Parade – noon – Sheyenne Street from Main Avenue to 7th Avenue  
  • NDSU Game on the Big Screen – 2:30 p.m. – POW/MIA Plaza 
  • Family Fun – 2-5 p.m. – Herb Tintes Park 
  • Street Dance featuring Mason Dixon Line – 7-10 p.m. – POW/MIA Plaza 

Sunday, Sept. 17 

  • West Fargo Park District Honkin’ Haulin’ Hands on Trucks – 1-3 p.m. – Veterans Memorial Arena 

 

Main Avenue will be closed Thursday, Sept. 14, for Cruise night and Saturday, Sept. 16, for the Grand Parade. Closures will be in place on 2nd Avenue W, Main Avenue, Sheyenne Street, 7th Avenue W, and 1st Street for the parade line-up and route. Closures will begin at 6:30a.m. on Sept. 16.
