[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Police Department detains juvenile suspect for string of vehicle break-ins

On Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, the West Fargo Police Department served a search warrant at a West Fargo residence and detained a juvenile male suspect for a string of over 20 vehicle break-ins that took place south of I-94. As the suspect is a juvenile, his name and age will not be released. 

The suspect is facing a number of charges including unlawful entry to a motor vehicle and criminal mischief. The juvenile was placed into custody and taken to juvenile detention. Additional charges are possible. Any further questions should be directed to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office.  

The West Fargo Police Department reminds residents to lock their vehicles. Vehicle theft is often a crime of opportunity with doors left unlocked with valuables inside. Residents are reminded to lock car doors, secure valuables, and park in well-lit areas.
