At approximately 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to 309 Cherry Court for a garage fire. When crews arrived on scene, heavy black smoke was visible from the garage. Crews began an offensive attack and a vehicle was found on fire inside of the garage. The active fire was quickly knocked down and contained within minutes of arrival.

The garage sustained heavy smoke damage and minimal fire damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the cost of damages to be determined. There were no injuries to emergency personnel or residents. 

The West Fargo Fire Department was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, Sanford Ambulance and the Red Cross.
