[ARCHIVED] City of West Fargo buildings and offices opening at noon Wednesday, March 1

Winter Weather Update-March 1 graphic

Due to the current weather conditions, all City of West Fargo offices and buildings will remain closed until noon Wednesday, March 1. Snowplows have been able to maintain snow emergency routes during the storm, but the current rate of snowfall will prevent them from clearing residential areas until about 11 a.m. All public safety agencies and essential services will be in full operation for the residents of West Fargo. Garbage and recycling collection will proceed according to the normal schedule.

City officials encourage residents to remain off the roads if possible for the safety of motorists and the snowplow drivers. They are also stressing the importance of moving all vehicles off city streets to ensure efficient and effective snow removal operations. If residents must drive, it is essential to stay at least 5 car lengths behind the plow. For more tips for sharing the road with snowplows, visit the ND DOT’s Don’t Crowd the Plow brochure.
