[ARCHIVED] City of West Fargo Christmas and New Year’s Day closures and garbage schedule changes

Christmas 2022

The City of West Fargo will close Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 26, in observance of Christmas. The City will also close Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of New Year’s Day. These holidays affect City services in the following ways. 

Christmas 

There is no garbage collection Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26. There are no changes to recycling service. Friday’s garbage collection will occur Thursday, Dec. 22. Monday’s garbage collection will occur Tuesday, Dec. 27. The Transfer Station will close Saturday, Dec. 24. 

All municipal government buildings will close to the public Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 26. These locations include West Fargo City Hall, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station. Public safety agencies are in full operation but the West Fargo Police and Fire Department buildings will close to the public on these days.

New Year’s Day 

There is no garbage collection Monday, Jan. 2. There is no change to recycling service. Monday’s garbage collection is Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The West Fargo Public Library will close to the public Sunday, Jan. 1. All municipal government buildings will close Monday, Jan. 2. These locations include West Fargo City Hall, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station. Public safety agencies are in full operation but the West Fargo Police and Fire Departments will close to the public on these days.
