At approximately 10:16 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, the Red River Regional Dispatch Center received a “swatting call" targeting West Fargo High School. A School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to West Fargo High School and additional patrol personnel quickly responded and after thorough investigation deemed the threat to be a hoax. There is no threat to West Fargo High School at this time. Similar threats have been made throughout the region and across the nation this academic year.

The West Fargo Police Department has a team of eight SROs who serve as law enforcement officers, informal counselors, mentors and teachers. Through a partnership with West Fargo Public Schools, our SROs continue to ensure campuses are a safe place for all learners. The West Fargo Police Department will continue to thoroughly investigate any threats of this nature.
