A private contractor will close the westbound lane of 7th Avenue E. just east of its intersection with 9th Street E Wednesday, June 22, through Thursday, June 23. Crews will be conducting utility work in and around a manhole approximately 50 feet east of the intersection. Westbound traffic will detour to 10th Street E. during the closure. 

If you encounter working crews, slow down and keep a safe distance between your vehicle and construction workers and equipment. Follow all posted signs, barricades, and lights and obey the posted speed limit. Drivers should remain alert and focused on the road by minimizing distractions, such as cellphones. Always use the ‘S’ check when traveling in and around construction areas – check your speed, space and stress.
