The City of West Fargo water division began a hydrant flushing project Monday, June 6, 2022. Crews will flush hydrants starting at the south City of West Fargo boundary and move north. Work will last for 14 days. Flushing will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end around 4 p.m. There will be minimal impacts on traffic during this project.
Residents may notice water discoloration during the flushing. In that case, run cold water through the faucet until the water runs clear. If water clarity does not improve, please contact Public Works at (701) 515-5400.
Hydrant flushing cleans out large sections of the water system to make sure hydrants and water distribution is working properly. The work goes in a south to north schedule to ensure the entire system is clear.
