This spring, the OverDrive app was removed from app stores. Since the legacy OverDrive app is no longer supported, library patrons are encouraged to switch to Libby – a newer, more user-friendly app that grants access to the same collection of ebooks, audiobooks and digital magazines.
Libby is the newest app from OverDrive, inspired by library and user feedback and designed to get you reading as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Libby offers a great reading experience for all ages, with customizable fonts, text sizes, background colors, and the ability to highlight, define words and more. Audiobook fans can listen on Libby too and the app even offers support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
To help West Fargo Public Library users adopt Libby for their reading and listening, we are hosting two sessions of “Libby 101: The Basics” from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7. At these free sessions, attendees can learn how to access and explore the digital library and use the great features of the Libby mobile app. The classes are free, but registration is required.
