[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Fire Department responded to Thursday night commercial dryer fire

Incident Alert WFFD

At approximately 10:40 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to Daschs Duds Laundromat, at 107 Sheyenne Street, for a commercial dryer fire. When crews arrived on scene, customers had utilized fire extinguishers to put out the fire in the two commercial dryers.

“The quick thinking of the patrons and proper use of fire extinguishers helped prevent what could have been a much larger fire,” said Deputy Chief Thomas Clark. “The business supplied adequate extinguishers to respond to the incident.”

Two commercial dryers and contents were damaged. There is no structural damage to the building. Crews disabled the dryers before departure. No emergency personnel were injured.
