An individual has been arrested in connection to a series of six commercial and industrial burglaries that took place in the City of West Fargo in December 2021.

Shelby Whitt, a 24-year-old male from Horace, North Dakota, was arrested in Cass County, North Dakota, on multiple charges of burglary, a Class B felony. Additional charges are possible. Whitt was responsible for a series of targeted commercial and industrial burglaries over the course of several weeks.

“The successful outcome of this investigation is a result of collaboration between all of our local law enforcement agencies as these crimes impacted several communities,” said Chief Denis Otterness. “I want to commend all of the officers and departments involved for their teamwork and dedication as this arrest has improved public safety throughout our communities.”

The West Fargo Police Department, Fargo Police Department, Moorhead Police Department and Cass County Sheriff’s Department actively contributed to the investigation, identification and arrest of Whitt. This case is being prosecuted by the Cass County States Attorney’s Office.
