[ARCHIVED] West Fargo Fire Department responded to Monday structure fire


At approximately 12:05 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to Northern Metal Recycling (654 9th St. NW) for a report of a two-alarm structure fire. When crews arrived on the scene, they found an active structure fire. Currently, crews are fighting a defensive fire to isolate and stabilize the incident to ensure it does not get any worse. 

Motorists are asked to avoid 9th Street NW. The West Fargo Fire Department is being assisted by the Fargo Fire Department, West Fargo Rural Fire Department and the West Fargo Police Department.

4 p.m. update: As of 4 p.m. the West Fargo Fire Department has extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is under further investigation. The building sustained major damages and is anticipated to be a total loss.
