[ARCHIVED] Harvest Festival comes to The Yards on Sheyenne Oct. 30

The Yards Business Association Harvest Festival

The community is invited to celebrate the fall and end of road construction at the Harvest Festival 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at The Yards on Sheyenne.

“The goal of this event is twofold – say goodbye to road construction and get customers back to The Yards,” said Thunder Coffee co-owner and The Yards Business Association president Nicole Dutton.

During the event, a variety of activities will be hosted in various Sheyenne Street parking lots between 7th Avenue W. and 2nd Avenue W. These include hammerschlagen, pumpkin smashing, a mini petting zoo, a photo booth, lawn games, prizes, and great fall food. Horse-drawn wagon rides will depart from the Faith + Journey Lutheran Church parking lot, where there will also be mini-barrel rides. In addition, the West Fargo Public Library’s Little Red Reading Bus will be at the event with fall-themed crafts and a pop-up library.

The VFW, Silver Dollar, and Thunder Coffee will have drink specials during the event. The event will also include a passport that can be stamped at businesses in The Yards and turned in to enter a prize drawing.

Free parking will be available at Faith+Journey Lutheran Church, Choice Bank, Silver Dollar, The Yards on Sheyenne public lot, and on-street along Sheyenne Street.

Visit to learn about the North Sheyenne Street Reconstruction project that has been in The Yards on Sheyenne during the 2021 construction season. This project replaced aging infrastructure and added streetscaping to support the downtown mixed-use district. The project’s funding comes from a variety of sources, including support from the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Operation Prairie Dog Funding from the North Dakota State Legislature, and sales tax designated for infrastructure improvements and economic development.
