On Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at 12:16 a.m. the West Fargo Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Morrison Street on a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim, a 30-year old West Fargo male.

The victim stated that while at home he heard a knock on his door. When he opened the door a white male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the arm. The victim further stated the suspect ran south from the area.

As officers began to investigate the complaint, numerous inconsistencies began to show. The victim was left in the care of a local hospital. At this time the West Fargo Police Department does not believe there is a public safety concern. Due to the fact that this is an open investigation, no comments will be made.
