[ARCHIVED] Information regarding West Fargo Police Lieutenant Adam Gustafson’s Funeral Service

West Fargo Police Lieutenant Adam Gustafson’s funeral which will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Northview Church (3401 25th St. S., Fargo, ND 58104) will be open to the public. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Masks are optional. Public parking, including handicap accessibility, will be available in the parking lot of Northview Church. Law enforcement will direct the public as they arrive.

No photos, videos or audio recordings during the funeral will be allowed. Attendees will only be allowed to bring in small personal handbags. 

Following the service, members of the public will be asked to remain seated while family and law enforcement exit the church. A short ceremony consisting of a three-volley salute and the playing of taps will prelude the vehicle procession. The vehicle procession including family and first responders will take place immediately following the funeral service. The public may pay their respects along the procession route, which is available at www.westfargopolice.com

25 St. S. will be closed from 34 to 37 Ave. S.in Fargo until the vehicle procession has cleared the roadway.

The funeral will be live-streamed on WDAY XTRA, channel 6.3, and the West Fargo Police Department’s Facebook page.

All City of West Fargo offices and services will be closed Wednesday, May 26, so staff may attend the funeral. This closure includes the West Fargo Public Library, West Fargo Municipal Court, and Wednesday's garbage collection. Wednesday and Thursday garbage routes will be collected Thursday, May 27. There will be no changes to the recycling schedule.  

The Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office will be responding to calls for service within the city on May 26.
