[ARCHIVED] City of West Fargo Christmas and New Year’s Day closures and garbage schedule changes

Holiday Closures

The City of West Fargo is closed Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in observance of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. These holidays affect city services in the following ways:

  • Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25, garbage will be collected Thursday, Dec. 24.
  • Friday, Dec. 25, recycling service will be collected Saturday, Dec. 26. 
  • Thursday, Dec. 31, and Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, garbage will be collected Thursday, Dec. 31. 
  • Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, recycling will be collected Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.

On Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25, as well as Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, all municipal government buildings are closed to the public, including City Hall, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station. Public safety agencies are in full operation but the West Fargo Police and Fire Departments remain closed to the public on these days.
