[ARCHIVED] West Fargo sanitation schedule changes and building closures due to Christmas and New Year's Day

Christmas 2019

The City of West Fargo is closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, in observance of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. These holidays affect city services in the following ways:

  • Garbage and recycling collection does not change Tuesday, Dec. 24.
  • No garbage or recycling collection Wednesday, Dec. 25.
  • Wednesday and Thursday garbage collection occurs Thursday, Dec. 26.
  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday recycling collection is delayed one day, ending with Friday recycling collection Saturday, Dec. 28.
  • Garbage and recycling collection does not change Tuesday, Dec. 31.
  • No garbage or recycling collection Wednesday, Jan. 1.
  • Wednesday and Thursday garbage collection occurs Thursday, Jan. 2.
  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday recycling collection is delayed one day, ending with Friday recycling collection Saturday, Jan. 4.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, as well as Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, all municipal government buildings are closed to the public, including City Hall, Public Library, Sanitation, Public Works and the Transfer Station. Public safety agencies are in full operation but the West Fargo Police and Fire Department buildings are closed to the public on this day.
