K9 Handler John Neeb trained in the state of Maine and New Hampshire. During the four week class, Neeb trained over 200 hours, which consisted of 'sniffing' real-life fire scenes for evidence of accelerant. Neeb is a Certified Accelerant Detection K9 Handler through the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. He graduated in August of 2020. Neeb and Mika must go to at least 50 fires to be recertified each year. State Farm sponsored Mika and Neeb, allowing the West Fargo Fire Department to have the first arson K9 in the metro area.
