 CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

The West Fargo portion of the Main Avenue Reconstruction Project started May 18, 2009.  Check out the Maps, Detours, and Projects pages on the website link provided here for information about the Main Avenue Reconstruction Project.

Construction on the 9th Street Continues this week.  The pavement markings on 9th Street East from 13th Avenue to 19th Avenue were removed in preparation for Tuesday's lane adjustments and commencement of boulevard removal operations.  Lane line markings (yellow and white) are being left in place at this time.  On Tuesday, May 26th,  northbound traffic will use the easternmost lane, with southbound traffic shifted to the center (double left turn) lane; the westernmost lane will be closed for boulevard removal operations in the west boulevard.

FireworksThe West Fargo Police Deparment wants to wish everyone a safe and fun-filled 4th of July weekend!  Remember that using or possessing fireworks within the City limits is against City Ordinance.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Police Department at 701-433-5500.

Public Meeting-Loeden Center Alley Paving - Monday, July 06, 2009

A hearing will be held at the City Commission on July 6, 2009 at 5:45 pm to decide whether to proceed with the proposed paving of the alleys in the area around the Loeden Center. The project would include paving and increasing property drainage.   The decision will be to proceed with the project on a block by block basis or to not proceed with all or a portion of the project.  Those who wish to voice their opinion for or against the project need to do so in writing and send it to Jim Brownlee, 800 4th Avenue East, West Fargo, ND  58078 or by email jim.brownlee@westfargond.gov  before July 6th.
