Sheyenne River lowering for 12th Avenue NW sanitary sewer crossing at Sheyenne River Bridge

The Sheyenne River, within the City of West Fargo, will be lowered starting Tuesday, Aug. 29, as crews install a new sanitary sewer crossing. The river is estimated to be allowed to refill to normal elevations around Friday, Sept. 29. Residents throughout the city will likely notice the lower river levels, and those with sprinkler systems that draw water from the river may not be able to use their systems.

12th Avenue NW is also closed at the Sheyenne River Bridge until Friday, Sept. 29, for this project. Motorists are detoured to Main Avenue and Seventh Avenue NE during this time. The traveling public is encouraged to take extra care and observe posted detour and traffic signs.
