The City of West Fargo is seeking a Chief of Police to lead and develop our police force consisting of 54 sworn and 12 civilian staff. This position will provide management, leadership and coordination over all short- and long-term activities of the City’s Police Department. This position is a highly responsible administrative and supervisory position involving the protection of lives and property in the city through the supervision of all police functions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a closely related field AND ten or more years of progressive law enforcement experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A State of North Dakota Peace Officer Certification, or the ability to obtain reciprocity is also required.
Annual starting salary is $89,260+, depending on experience.
