Liquor Store Robbery

On March 5th, 2017 at approximately 1444 hours, West Fargo Police were dispatched to Bernies Liquors, 100 Sheyenne Street for a Robbery that had just occurred.  A male had entered the store and asked for a free bottle of alcohol.  When the clerk refused to give him a free bottle, the male demanded the money from the till.  No weapon was shown.  After an unknown amount of money was turned over to the male, he fled the store and got into a car.  When officers arrived a store clerk was able to provide a vehicle description.  Patrol Officers were able to locate a vehicle matching that description in the 900 Block 10th Ave W in West Fargo.  A male standing outside was able to show officers where the person lived that was driving that vehicle.  Officers made contact with Christopher Burns DOB 7/19/1980.  After speaking with Burns, officers placed him under arrest for Robbery.  Burns will also be long formed for possession of drug paraphernalia.  Burns was transported to the Cass County Jail.  This case is still under investigation.
