Public information meetings scheduled for West Fargo construction
The City of West Fargo will hold two public information meetings Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at West Fargo City Hall, located at 800 Fourth Avenue E in West Fargo.
The first meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and will provide information regarding a proposed project on First Avenue E. from Fourth Street E. to Ninth Street E. This proposed project will reconstruct First Avenue E., which is necessary to replace failing sewer and water mains. It will also include replacing existing asphalt streets and installing new storm drains, street lighting and sidewalks. This project has the potential to include a special assessment district and construction detours that could impact surrounding properties.
The second meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will discuss planned infrastructure improvements to 19th Avenue E. and 10th Street W. to address traffic issues. This proposed project will add traffic-calming measures to reduce cut-through traffic and speeding on 19th Avenue W. and 10th Street W. between 13th Avenue W. and 19th Avenue W. This project has the potential to include construction detours that could impact the surrounding properties.
