Watering Restrictions

With the dry and hot part of summer quickly approaching, the City of West Fargo would like to remind our citizens of our watering restrictions.  The City has an even/odd watering restriction.

This policy allows watering of lawns based upon your property address as compared to the day of the month.  Odd numbered addresses (i.e. 1401, 1711, 2121) are allowed to water lawns on the odd days of the month (1st, 3rd, 5th).  While even numbered addresses (102, 510, 1326) are allowed to water lawns on the even days of the month (2nd, 4th, 6th).

Lastly, watering should not be done between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.  Up to 30% of the water used during these hours is evaporated off causing not only a waste of a natural resource but also increased costs to the homeowner.
