The Senior Police Clerk is responsible for the supervision and training of Police Clerk personnel. Within this scope of duties, the Senior Police Clerk is required to review and verify computer record entries and scanned documents completed by Police Clerks. The Senior Police Clerk is responsible for approving task guidelines, scheduling and staff reviews.
Excellent customer service is a prime goal in the Police Clerk area, as Police Clerks are the initial contact with the public, on the phone and in person. This requires continuous training and observation by the Senior Police Clerk to ensure that a high level of service to the public is met.
The Senior Police Clerks also serves as the NCIC Validation Officer who is responsible for verifying the accuracy of records that have been entered by West Fargo Police Department into the National Crime Information Center computer database.
