Assistant Chief of Police
Lieutenant Jerry Boyer began career at the West Fargo Police Department in 2005 as a patrol officer. In 2009 he was promoted to the position of Patrol Sergeant and he remained in that position until September 2014 when he was promoted to Administrative Lieutenant. Boyer is the first to hold the Administrative Lieutenant position at the West Fargo Police Department. In 2015, Boyer was promoted to Assistant Chief of Police.
Lt Boyer graduated from Fargo South High School and attended NDSU and UND Lake Region Law Enforcement Academy in Devils Lake, ND.
He started in Law Enforcement in 1999 with the Logan County Sheriffs Dept, LaMoure County Sheriffs Dept, SEMCA, and the NDSU Police Dept before starting with WFPD in 2005.
